“Slow Down to Go Fast” was the motto of the first Tutto Bene Hillclimb, masterminded by Milanese design studio BorromeoDeSilva and Californian creative agency Race Service.

This year, Unimatic had the honor of being the official timekeeper of the event — a perfect occasion to highlight the craftsmanship and precision of Unimatic limited edition watches. It was a great opportunity to become an integral part of a story worth telling, connecting the brand’s Italian heritage with the thrill of automotive performance.
Intimate, fun, and exhilarating, the event took place on a 7 km stretch of private road owned by the Borromeo family (‘Strada Privata Borromea’). Participants navigated their way up the Mottarone mountain, tackling a mix of technical fast corners and slow hairpins. Our friends from Motoring Attitude, technical partners of the event, described it at the drivers’ briefing as “Safe, but not boring.” In essence, it was a lifestyle and car-culture gathering featuring demo driving, an aperitivo, and a reception dinner in the Baroque gardens of the private island of Isola Bella on Lago Maggiore.
Among the highlights were automotive icons like the 155 DTM Alfa Romeo, Maserati MC12 Corsa, Mercedes 190 Evo, Ford RS200 Rally, and Ferrari 488 GT3 — true works of art showcased in an almost surreal Italian setting.
Eugenio Amos made a notable appearance with his impressive lineup, including a Lancia Delta Futurista, a Porsche 930 TAG Turbo powered by a Formula 1 engine, and a Ferrari 430 Challenge in a striking two-tone green livery.
The full scope of remarkable vehicles was revealed the following day, featuring everything from a V8 twin-turbo Audi-powered Dakar truck to various classic Porsches, brought by friends such as Felix Bauermeister, Ted Gushue, Tommaso Zeriali, and Filippo Bassoli, president of Deus Ex Machina Italy. Also showcased were modern limited-edition 911 S/Ts and two Dallaras, reinforcing the shared passion between mechanical art and Italian watch design.
As the official timekeeper, Unimatic watches captured the essence of the event — performance, design, and precision united under the philosophy of “Slow Down to Go Fast.” Each Unimatic limited edition piece continues this legacy, blending minimalist aesthetics with enduring craftsmanship inspired by Italian engineering excellence.
