Modello Uno ref. U1-ML6 Unimatic x Massena Lab
Housed inside the 40mm stainless steel case of the U1-ML6 is the automatic caliber Seiko NH35A 21600bph, with a power reserve of 41 hours. The watch features a classic black bezel with a red triangle dot market, reminiscent of the Rolex 6538, made famous by Sean Connery as James Bond in Goldfinger. The 15 minute marker on the bezel is the first time that UNIMATIC has featured it on one of its watches. Turning the 120-click unidirectional bezel is both an audible and tactile treat; the bezel hangs slightly over the diameter of the watch, making it easier to turn as well.
In order to achieve its unique patina dial, each one of the U1-ML6 dial’s went through a galvanisation process, fading from the original black color to its tropical, warm brown hue. As each dial reacts differently to the process, no two are exactly alike - creating a truly unique watch. In addition, the Super-LumiNova is applied on each dial by hand, hands, and markers - making for an entirely hand-made “fatto a mano” dial.
Turning the watch over, the viewer is treated to a detailed engraving of the Greek god, Poseidon. Aside from the reference to the god of the sea, the engraving pays tribute to World War II hero and veteran Alastair Robertson, an officer in the British Royal Navy. Before his retirement, he served as the navigator for the aircraft carrier HMS Ocean, the ship’s crest was that of Poseidon.
Fitted with a Horween Shell Cordovan Color 8 strap, the UNIMATIC x Massena LAB U1-ML6 comes with a black, heavy-duty UNIMATIC nylon nato strap for added versatility. Each limited edition is housed in a branded UNIMATIC x Massena LAB tough case with a 24 months warranty card and unique ID seal and is part of a unique edition of 99 pieces.

The 316L stainless steel case, double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and 360° protection system are engineered to take daily knocks in stride, from the desk to the water.
What kind of lume is used for low-light visibility?
Hands and indices are treated (unless stated) with Super-LumiNova® colours picked to match the design details, delivering a strong, long-lasting glow for clear legibility in low-light and underwater conditions. It is not radioactive and requires exposure to light (natural or artificial) to charge.

Are UNIMATIC watches water resistant?
All UNIMATIC cases are engineered to provide exceptional water resistance. Every UNIMATIC watch is individually tested to ensure a minimum water resistance of 300m (30 ATM), while selected on case modello 1 featuring our enhanced case construction are tested to withstand 600m (60 ATM).
Before exposing your watch to water, always make sure the crown and, where applicable, the pushers are fully screwed down and securely tightened. Never operate the crown or pushers while the watch is underwater.
After use in seawater, rinse the watch thoroughly with fresh water and dry it completely.Please refer to your specific model's technical specifications to confirm its certified water resistance rating.
What is an automatic watch?
The UNIMATIC automatic watch is a self-winding mechanical timepiece powered not by a battery, but by the natural kinetic energy generated from the wearer’s arm movements.
Automatic watches are more sensitive to factors like temperature fluctuations, impacts, and how they are worn.
Consequently, they may not run as precisely as quartz watches, and any timekeeping variations depend on the specific movement type.
Based on experience, new mechanical watches may initially show slight time inaccuracies, which generally self-regulate over time.
What is a reference number?
A reference number is an alphanumeric code associated with each watch model (e.g., U1S-T-MP).
You can find the reference number in the documents provided at the time of purchase, such as the International Warranty certificate, or on the case-back of your watch.
Does the stainless steel bracelet fit my watch?
The UNIMATIC UBR-TLQ18 solid stainless steel bracelet is compatible with almost all the UNIMATIC lineup. Above is a chart to help you choose the correct end-link variation for your watch. Please note that the bracelet is available in two different finishes: Brushed and Sandblasted. While a bracelet may be mechanically compatible with your watch in terms of fit and attachment, it may not match the watch aesthetically if the finish is different.
What is a bezel used for?
Dive / Elapsed Time Bezel:
Marked from 0 to 60 minutes, this bezel rotates only counter-clockwise. Align the triangle (0 marker) with the current position of the minute hand to track the elapsed time at a glance.
Countdown Bezel: Marked in reverse, from 60 down to 0, this bezel is designed for timing a set interval. Rotate it so the desired number of minutes (for example, 15) lines up with the minute hand. When the minute hand reaches the 0 marker, the countdown is complete.
GMT Bezel: Featuring a 24-hour scale, the GMT bezel rotates in both directions and works together with your watch's GMT hand to display a second time zone. By adjusting the bezel, you can also track a third time zone.
Compass Bezel: Marked with the cardinal directions, the compass bezel can be used for basic navigation. Point the hour hand toward the sun, then use the bezel's directional markings to determine north and south.
